When you submit a comment, in addition to the information provided in the comment form, the IP address of the contributor and the browser identifier string are collected to filter out unsolicited content.

A depersonalized string (commonly referred to as a hash) created from the email address is forwarded to the Gravatar service when used on this page. The terms and conditions of the Gravatar service are available at the following address: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After accepting the post, the content of our post and our profile image will be publicly displayed.

Media

If an image is uploaded to the website by a registered user, EXIFs with GPS position data should be avoided. Visitors to the website can download them and extract location data from the images on the website.

Cookies

If we post a comment on the website, the given name, e-mail and website address are stored in cookies. Storage is for convenience, so you don’t have to fill in these fields the next time you comment. The expiration date of cookies is one year.

When you visit the login page, we set temporary cookies to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. These cookies do not contain any personal information and are deleted as soon as we close your browser.

When you log in to the website, several cookies are created, which save the login information and the display options of the editor interface. The login cookies are valid for two days, the cookie storing the display options of the editor interface for one year. If the ‘Remember me’ option is checked, the login will continue for two weeks. When you log out, login cookies are removed.

If we edit an entry or page, another cookie is stored in our browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data, it simply stores the ID number of the post that we have edited. It will expire in one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Entries available on the website may use embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.) from external sources. Embedded content from external sources behaves exactly as if we visited another website.

These websites may collect information about visitors, use cookies or third-party tracking code, monitor user behavior related to embedded content if we have a user account and are logged in to the site.

If you request a password reset, the IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we keep your personal data

If a comment is made, the comment and its metadata will remain in the system for an indefinite period. The purpose of this is to make all subsequent comments known and approved by us, i.e. not to be included in the list of comments to be moderated.

Personal data of users registered on the website (if any) are also stored in their own user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal data at any time (except that they cannot change their own username). The administrators of this website can also view and edit this information.

What rights does the user have in relation to his/her data

If you write a comment from a registered account on the website, you may be asked to submit personal data in an export file containing any data previously provided to us by the user. You can also request that we delete any previously provided personal data. This does not apply to data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons.

Comments submitted by visitors could be checked by an automated spam filtering service.
